About the movie
The film is a historical and devotional romance. It reiterates the story of implications of inter-caste marriage. Maha Sharana Haralayya is recorded as the first inter-caste marriage of Karnataka and is given prominence owing to the blessings it received from a revered poet and saint of Karnataka, Basavanna. A cobbler`s son falls for a Brahmin girl and this leads to bloodshed but it is Basavanna who encourages the idea so as to breakdown the caste barriers.
