Vemal fits well in this role and he shows phenomenal improvement in dancing. There are a couple of fight scenes as well. Anjali is perfect in the role of a well-educated sensible and bold woman though there is nothing big for her to perform. Radharavi yet again proves that he is a seasoned performer. We saw Vemal a few weeks ago in Anjala and the actor is back again in the Rajashekar directorial Mapla Singam where Anjali plays his on screen partner. The title might suggest that it could be the story demonstrative of the prowess of a bridegroom but Mapla Singam is about something else. `Mapla Singam` is a rural comedy directed by debutante Rajasekar. Don Ashok has crafted the dialogues. Vimal and Anjali have paired against each other after the success of `Kalakalappu`. So what is this movie is all about? There is nothing great about the plot. Rajasekar has handled a simple story. The story happens in a rural town and there is rivalry between two groups for `Mudhal Mariyadhai`. Anjali as a lawyer helps Vimal and his gang. What happens next is definitely known to you.
