SYNOPSIS
Janardhan, a Mangalore based 28-year-old Kannada lecturer starts looking for a bride after an astrologer tells him that if he doesn't get married within one year, he will attain sanyaasa. In his quest for finding the 'would be' bride he faces many rejections and conflicts but in the process he connects with his inner self.

One reason for my interest in Ondu Motteya Kathe (The Story of a Bald Man) was autobiographical. Finally, a protagonist I can see in the mirror. The second was archaeological, for I spent quite a bit of time trying to excavate examples of films whose leads are less than conventionally good-looking, let alone lacking something as taken-for-granted in a hero as hair. The story definitely required new faces without baggage. Shetty casts himself in the lead role and in the end you feel that there could not have been a better choice. He is a natural as an actor. As the director he has managed to marshal his meager resources in a lesson for newcomers. Like the protagonist he has made all the drawbacks work for the film.
