About the movie

Kodaivannan (R Sivam) and Kolaivannan (Umar) are cousins, always sparring and on the lookout for an opportunity to get the better of the other. Things get more complicated when both aspire to marry Ranjitham (Harini), the daughter of their rich uncle who owns most of the land in their Upparapatti village in Theni district. When both land up at their uncle`s house seeking Harini`s hand, he declares that whoever wins in a game of cricket will not only get his daughter`s hand but also all his wealth. The problem -- neither Kodaivannan or Kolaivannan knows how to play cricket, nor does anybody else in the village. Thus begins their search for coaches to train them. Former India opener Sadagopan Ramesh (who plays himself) gets lost near the village and ends up helping Kodai and his team in their quest for victory.
