Shahid Kapoor essays the role of Rajkumar - a rugged, rebellious, passionate fighter who also has a devilish charm. One moment he makes you feel really comfortable and the very next, completely ill at ease! Rajkumar is sexy, brooding and raw.

Sonakshi Sinha plays the role of Chanda a gorgeous, strong character. She is the niece of a poppy lord called Manik Parmar. Chanda is elegant and looks stunning. A true Indian beauty!

R Rajkumar its a Romantic Action Love story set in dusty and rugged backdrop of the Hindi Heartland. A film that has out and out desi tracks (true dance numbers) with loads of intrigue, thrill and fun a perfect entertainer by all means. The ravines shall tower high over the Poppy Fields, overlooking a dangerous foundation without law, justice or order.

Prabhu Dheva`s next after the blockbuster Rowdy Rathore; this film has a lot of cool visuals, fresh & crazy action (Prabhu ishtyle) with proper pace to the film. A different perspective representing what life can be & a perfect balance between good and evil!

He rips, he roars, he rages. He rides roughshod. Like a lovelorn `Rambo`, he rolls his `R`s. He`s the riotous R...Rajkumar (R for Romeo!). Once again, a rebellious and raving hero jumps out of Prabhu Dheva`s story - loaded with gaon-full of goons, buffoons, `item` chhoris, less `silence` and unstoppable violence.`RR` (Shahid) lands in Dhartipur, with his heart on his colourful sleeve, double power in his muscles and bravado in his bones. Flaunting his mawaligiri and `maar`daangi with equal gusto. One quick encounter with desi beauty Chanda (Sonakshi) and his dil is `attached` to her for eternity. He woos her aggressively (lovingly calls her Lollipop!), even turns Action Jackson for her, `breaking a few legs` and tons of bottles. She`s no less a razor-tongue firebrand and hard-to-get girl, albeit briefly. ...Read full review
Prabhu Deva`s latest directorial venture - R... Rajkumar - opens with extensive, unnecessary titles set to grotesquely loud music, leaving you with little patience as you wait for the film to start. The film`s introduction includes guns, politics, opium-farming and Sonakshi Sinha, which may instantly remind one of last week`s release Bullett Raja. Romeo Rajkumar (Shahid Kapoor) is a mysterious young man who lands up at the doorsteps of a powerful drug baron called Shivraj (Sonu Sood) seeking employment. Rajkumar constantly proves his loyalty to his boss by eliminating Shivraj`s rival Manik Parmar`s men, until fate deals him an unfair hand - both he and Shivraj fall in love with the same girl - Chanda (Sonakshi Sinha), who also happens to be Parmar`s niece. ...Read full review
Right at the beginning of this film, a mustachioed man says threateningly: Jab convince karna mushkil hai toh confuse kar do. So we cant say the film-maker didnt warn us about the rest of the movie beforehand. Well, since we unfortunately didnt take the threat seriously and stayed on, heres the review. ...Read full review
