Red Dust
About the movie
Red Dust is a court room drama about a human rights lawyer, Sarah Barcant (Hilary Swank), who returns to her South African homeland to represent Alex Mpondo (Chiwetel Ejiofor), a Black African politician who was tortured during apartheid. Alongside runs the story of Sarah, a flashback into her past where she was arrested in her teens for having a black boyfriend. She is rescued by Ben Hoffman (Marius Weyers), a white lawyer who spent all his life fighting apartheid. She is therefore there to repay her debt as he is too weak to take care of himself.
