About the movie
Set in the underbelly of the notorious criminal court system in Los Angeles, an idealistic defense attorney's (played by Denzel Washington) life is toppled when his mentor Roman, a civil rights icon passes away. When he joins a law firm, which is led by George Pierce (played by Colin Farrell), one of his mentor's former students, the two form a friendship and a series of strange events ensue that will test the activism that defined Roman's career.
