SYNOPSIS
Sandook is a satirical comic thriller set in pre-independence era in a small town called Sambalgarh. Our main protagonist Wamanrao Ashtaputre is a simple honest man who always dreams of getting rid of the British Raj. How the underdog that is Waman becomes a revolutionary albeit accidentally is the core story of Sandook. Filled with hilarious moments and one liners, this one is definitely going to tickle your funny bone. Sandook is a complete family entertainer with a feel good factor throughout the story. With an ensemble cast, Sandook surely is going to be a film to watch out for.

Initially, the film reminds us of last year`s film Vitti Dandu, which had a promising and similar premise, but which ultimately failed due to extreme melodrama and logic flaws. Sandook takes some time to gain pace, but takes off strongly in a different direction. Although the film has a pseudo-historical background, well-designed doses of humour make it work. The credit for this should go to Sumit Raghavan`s stand-out performance, specially in his dreams and hallucinations, but not limited to these.
