SYNOPSIS
Prakash Jha`s newest political thriller `Satyagraha` is based on the movement against corruption. From the film`s cast, Kareena Kapoor is seen playing a journalist, Amitabh Bachchan plays a virtuous man who`s a firm believer in truth. Ajay Devgn plays an ambitious entrepreneur and Arjun Rampal is seen playing a social activist. `Satyagraha` also stars Manoj Bajpai. Prakash Jha has produced the film along with Ronnie Screwvala and Siddharth Roy Kapur. Jha has also written the film`s screenplay along with Anjum Rajabali.

Prakash Jha has given us movies like `Mrityudand, `Gangaajal` and `Apaharan`, which were bold enough to take on the issues of corruption and self serving politicians. These movies made you sit up, outraged and wanting to be a part of the revolution to get rid of such politicians. For this we need to be grateful to Jha. There`s a shot in Satyagraha a rainbow glimmering for a second between jets of water pounding protestors which typifies this film. Vibrantly layered, Satyagraha weaves together urban legends of corruption, encompassing corporate lobbyists to murdered engineers. It features slices of histories, Chauri Chaura, Mandal, Anna Hazare`s Jan Lokpal Andolan.
