About the movie
Taryanche Bait narrates the story about a father who struggles to keep the promise given to his kid. Shreedhar Surve ( Sachin Khedekar) is a government clerk living in a small village in Konkan. He takes his family to Mumbai for a picnic and his son (Ishaan Tambe) expresses his desire to have a day`s stay in a five star hotel. Now for a lower income earning group person, it is an unaffordable wish to fulfill. But he still agrees to his son`s wish on one condition that he should top his class in his next examination. His son takes it seriously and starts studying harder increasing the worries of the father. But then..does he come first? Does Shreedhar succeed in fulfilling his son`s dream? While keeping the promise given to the kid, Shreedhar realizes his financial limitations but learns the higher truth of life about dignity and self respect. This film marks Ekta Kapoor`s entry in the Marathi film industry.
