The Diary Of Anne Frank in 1984, she went on to play leading roles in such milestone plays as Letters to My Daughter, Antigone, Nuts, Six Degrees Of Separation and Love Letters. Her recent theatre work includes The Siddhus of Upper Juhu, The God of Carnage, The Glass Menagerie, One On One, Blackbird (META Award for Best Actress, 2010) Molly Sweeney, Breathe In Breathe Out and Class of `84. Aside from theatre, she featured in Sanjay Leela Bhansali`s Black in 2004 for which she was nominated for numerous awards. Her other films include Guzaarish (Screen Award winner for Best Supporting Actress), Roy, Rockstar, Lamha, O Maria (Goa State Award for Best Actress), Little Zizou, Love Wrinkle Free, The President is Coming and Talaash.
She has performed in many television shows and web series like Bang, Baaja, Baraat and Tripling. A Charles Wallace scholar, she holds a Masters degree in Acting from the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland. She is also an established voiceover with over a 1000 commercials, corporate films, audio books and feature film dubbings to her credit. Also a teacher, from 2013-2016 she headed the Acting Department at India`s premiere film school, Whistling Woods International. She conducts specialised workshops privately as well as for corporate companies and theatre/film institutions.
