A. M. Rathnam is an Indian film producer who predominantly works in Tamil and Telugu cinema. He began his career as a make-up artist for popular actress Vijayashanti. He made his debut as a producer with the 1990 Telugu film Karthavyam, followed by several movies like Aashayam, Indian, Kadhalar Dhinam, Kandukondain Kandukondain, 7G Rainbow Colony, Ghilli, and Sukran. He was also associated with the movies like Sivakasi, Arrambam, Yennai Arindhaal and Vedalam. His 2017 venture includes the Telugu action film Oxygen, starring Gopichand, Raashi Khanna, and Anu Emmanuel in the lead roles, along with Jagapati Babu in a pivotal role. His other production venture in the year includes the action thriller film Karuppan, under the direction of R. Panneerselvam, starring Vijay Sethupathi in the lead role.
