Widely known as the sister of A.R. Rahman aka the Mozart of Madras and the mother of the superstar actor and music director, G.V. Prakash Kumar, A.R. Reihana is a playback singer and film composer who primarily works in Tamil cinema. Having made her debut as a composer in a feature with Machi in 2004, over the years, she composed for more than 10 films. Some of her most notable film credits as a composer include Kadhalagi (2010), Manchottile Veedu (2012), Puriyadha Anandam Puthithaga Arambam (2015) and Yenda Thalaiyila Yenna Vekkala (2018), a comedy horror directed by Vignesh Karthick. The last movie is also her production venture.

Reihana, before making her debut in films collaborated with the musical maestro, A.R. Rahman in the award-winning film Kannathil Muthamittal in 2002. Apart from composing music, Reihana has also sung many songs, most notably the controversial song from the movie Chocolate. The musical artist has also appeared in Coke Studio - Season 3, a musical show aired on MTV.
