About
Having started his career with theatre, Aari was a part of theatre groups such as Magic Lantern, Theatre Nisha, and Inland Theatres, which paved his way into the film industry. He went on to make his debut in 2005 with T. V. Chandran`s direct-to-TV Aadum Koothu, which only screened at various film festivals and, three years later, released across limited theatres in 2008. The movie went on to win the National Film Award for Best Feature Film in Tamil.
Making his feature film debut in 2010, Aari was cast opposite Anjali in the Tamil drama Rettaisuzhi, which also marked Thamira`s directorial debut. Next, he featured alongside Miss South India 2010 Shubha Phutela in the 2012 Tamil romantic movie Maalai Pozhudhin Mayakathilaey, which opened to mainly negative reviews and flopped at the box-office.
Playing the role of Murugan, Aari`s next acting venture was the 2014 docudrama-crime thriller Nedunchaalai, which featured him opposite Sshivada. Known for his work in the Tamil film industry, he has other movies such as Maya, Unnodu Ka, and Nagesh Thiraiyarangam to his credit.
