An American actor, producer, director and screenwriter, Adam Rifkin is known for his versatility: in his career, he has made movies of different genres from broad family comedy to dark and gritty urban drama. An alumnus of The Chicago Academy for the Arts, Rifkin made his debut in the film industry with Never on Tuesday (1988) as a writer, director, and actor.
Over the years, Rifkin has directed more than 15 films and some of his notable films as a director include The Nutt House (1992), Psycho Cop 2 (1993), Detroit Rock City (1999), Look (2007), Giuseppe Makes a Movie (2014) and The Last Movie Star (2018), an English drama featuring Burt Reynolds, Chevy Chase, Ariel Winter and Clark Duke in important roles.
