One of the few female editors in the Hollywood Golden age, Adrienne Fazan was an American film editor, known for her work on movies like Gigi (1958) and Lust for Life (1956). She made her debut as an editor in 1933 with Day of Reckoning. Since then Fazan worked on movies like The Merry Widow (1934), In the Good Old Summertime (1949), An American in Paris (1951), It's Always Fair Weather (1955), Kismet (1955), Designing Woman (1957), Some Came Running (1958), The Gazebo (1959), Bells Are Ringing (1960), 36 Hours (1964), This Property Is Condemned (1966), Who's Minding the Mint? (1967), With Six You Get Eggroll (1968) and The Cheyenne Social Club (1970). Fazan also worked on the classic comedy-musical, Singin' in the Rain (1952). She won the Academy Award in the Best Film Editing category for her work on director Vincente Minnelli's, Gigi. Fazan passed away on August 23, 1986, although she retired from editing in 1970.
