Agathiyan is an Indian Tamil film director, also famous for directing Telugu and Hindi films. He made his debut in the film Mangalyam Thanthuna Nae (1991). His film Kaadhal Kottai (1996) won the National Film Award for Best Direction, National Film Award for Best Screenplay and Filmfare Award for Best Tamil Director. He is associated with the 2018 Tamil comedy-drama-romance Mr. Chandramouli directed by Thiru.
