He made his feature film debut with a minor role in the drama The Lonely Passion of Judith Hearne (1987), and subsequently rose to prominence courtesy of his performances in movies like Circle of Friends (1995), Some Mother`s Son (1996), Buddy Boy (1999) and Shanghai Knights (2003).
