Having started his career as an assistant director, Ajay Chandok has been a part of the film industry since 1989. As an assistant director, Ajay was associated with movies like Taaqatwar, Eena Meena Deeka, Coolie No. 1, Loafer, Judwaa, Hero No. 1, Gharwali Baharwali, and Jodi No. 1 to name a few. He has also been credited as an associate director on a number of movies such as Haseena Maan Jaayegi, Dulhan Hum Le Jayenge, Chal Mere Bhai, Yeh Hai Jalwa, and Chor Machaaye Shor. Making his debut as a director, Ajay directed the 2007 movie Nehle Pe Dehla. He then went on to direct the string of movies such as Kisse Pyaar Karoon?, Hey Bro, Khalballi: Fun Unlimited, and Krazzy Tabbar.
