Ajayan Bala is a popular Tamil writer. His book 'Ulaka Cinima Varalaru Maunayukam' won was awarded as the best book by Tamil Nadu Government in 2007. He has written the screenplay for Chennaiyil Oru Naal (2013), Vana Yuddham (2013), and Manithan (2016). He has also served as an assistant director for films like Valmiki, Madrasapattinam, and Thenmerku Paruvakaatru. He made his directorial debut by directing one of the stories in the anthology film 6 Athiyayam. His 2018 projects include Karu, Lakshmi, and Nethra.
