Screenwriter Ajith Poojappura made his Mollywood debut with the comedy Angane Thanne Nethave Anjettennam Pinnale (2016), which featured Narain and Meera Nandan. In 2018, Ajith made his sophomore outing as a writer with the political drama Parole, which was directed by debutant Sharrath Sandith and starred Mammootty in the lead role.
