Having won the National Film Award for his short film The Finish Line, Akshay Roy is an Indian film director and writer, who is primarily associated with Bollywood. Stepping into the Hindi film industry, Akshay assisted on movies like Lakshya (2004), Vanity Fair (2004), Water (2005), and The Namesake (2007) to name a few. Making his feature film debut, Akshay directed the Parineeti Chopra and Ayushmann Khurrana-starrer romantic drama Meri Pyaari Bindu in 2017.
