An alumnus of L.V. Prasad Film and Television Academy, Aalaap Majgavkar made his debut as an independent editor in the 2017 period war film Rangoon. Aalaap, who started out as an assistant director to Vishal Bhardwaj in movies like Kaminey (2009), 7 Khoon Maaf (2011) and Haider (2014), considers the celebrated writer-director to be his mentor and godfather in the industry. Besides these, Aalaap has also ventured int sound designing. Other significant editorial credits include Kuldip Patwal: I Didn`t Do It! (2017), Union Leader (2018) and the crime thriller Vodka Diaries (2018).
