An Indian cinematographer, film director and producer, Alagappan N has been predominantly associated with the Malayalam film industry. A stellar career which started in 1977, as a cinematographer in Sammanam (1997), Manassinakkare (2003), Kaazhcha (2004), Achuvinte Amma (2005), Chocolate (2007), Irumbukkottai Murattu Singam (2010), Oru Marubhoomikkadha (2011), Arike (2012), and Welcome to Central Jail (2016), among others. He turned director with the 2013 film Pattam Pole, before he joined the crew of Drama (2018) as a cinematographer.
