Alan Ball born on 13 May, 1957 in Georgia, is an American television and film writer, director, and producer. He began his career as a writer for the television movies, such as Grace Under Fire and Cybill. He also two films, American Beauty and Towelhead, after that he turns into a producer and director of the HBO drama series Six Feet Under and True Blood and appeared as recurring role for the first five seasons of the series True Blood. He received numerous awards for the Academy Award for Best Original Screenplay, Golden Globe Award and Emmy Award.
