About
Screenwriter Alex Tse started off his career with a script for Showtime called 87 Fleer, which got him the opportunity to write his second script The Game. Soon enough, his script was turned into a television movie called Sucker Free City (2004), which won him a literary award from PEN Center USA for best teleplay, as well as a nomination for best screenplay for the 2006 Black Reel Awards. Apart from this he also did uncredited rewrites for big budget films like House of Wax, Step Up, and Step Up 2: The Streets. Tse`s first big break came in the form of the 2009 superhero film Watchmen, directed by Zack Snyder. He developed the script for Superfly towards the beginning of his career and Sony bought the script later in the year 2014.
