He Composed Music For More Than 200 Films And Was Rewarded With 9 Oscars For The Films Alexander`s Ragtime Band, Tin Pan Alley, The Song Of Bernadette, Mother Wore Tights; With A Song In My Heart, Call Me Madam, And Love Is A Many Splendored Thing, The King And I, And Camelot. At Age 20, Newman Became Friends With George Gershwin Leading To His Conducting Some Of George And Ira Gershwin`s Stage Musicals Including Treasure Girl And Funny Face.
