Ali Hussain belongs to the family of Jhajhar Gharana. He is the 9th generation. Has given playback for the title track of serial Siratal Mustakim on DD Urdu. He has several awards to his credit. To name a few, Sarvashree Award by Rotary Club of Pun , 1998, Shahu Modak Puraskar 1997, Sangeetkar Ram Kadam Puraskar for upcoming artist of Pune 2005, felicitated by Ex Mayor of Pune Shrimati Rajni Tribhuvan in 2006, etc. Has performed at International Sori Festival (Sound Festival) at South Korea. Has performed in Dubai for Maharashtra Mandal.
