Born on November 16, 1954 Allison Anders is an American Director, Screenwriter and also made appearances as an actor in few films and TV shows. After completing personal correspondence campaign at her favorite director Wim Wenders managed to get a job as an assistant for his film Paris, Texas in 1984. In 1987 she got internationally acclaimed for his co-directed first movie Border Radio, Grace of My Heart and so on. She also received many awards for her work like Nicholl Fellowship, Samuel Goldwyn Award and Best New Director for Gas Food Lodging from New York Film Critics Circle.
