An American executive film producer who represents Universal Pictures, Paramount Pictures, and Walt Disney Studios, Allison Shearmur has produced several renowned films like The Hunger Games film series, Jason Bourne film series, and the American Pie franchise. A graduate in law, Shearmur before making it big in the film industry worked as a member of the State Bar of California.
After she completed her graduation, Shearmur was hired as an assistant at the Columbia TriStar and later she worked as the Vice President at the Disney between 1994 and 1997. Her maiden production venture was Stop-Loss (2008) and she subsequently produced Abduction (2011), The Hunger Games: Catching Fire (2013), A Tale of Love and Darkness (2015), Rogue One: A Star Wars Story (2016), Dirty Dancing (2017) and Solo: A Star Wars Story (2018), an American space western film directed by Ron Howard.
