A popular cinematographer, Amalendu Chaudhary is noted for his work in Hindi and Marathi cinema. having started his career with the short film Shubra Kaahi (2004), he made his debut in a feature with Dohaa in 2007 and over the years, Amalendu has worked in more than 15 films, which includes indie films as well as mainstream commercial films. Some of his most notable credits include Harishchandrachi Factory (2009), Aiyyaa (2012), Tendulkar Out (2013), The Shaukeens (2014), Tere Bin Laden Dead or Alive (2016), Hampi (2017), Baa Baaa Black Sheep (2018), Cycle (2018), Saheb Biwi Aur Gangster 3 (2018) and Stree (2018), directed by Amar Kaushik.

In 2019, he was associated with Sushant Singh Rajput and Shraddha Kapoor starrer Chhichhore, Directed by Nitesh Tiwari. His 2020 release includes Darbaan.
