Amanda Peet is an American film, television and stage actress. Peet began her career in television commercials and went ahead with minor roles on television before making her film debut in 1995 with Animal Room. After several minor roles and supporting roles, Peet had her first major role as Jacqueline Barrett in the 1999 WB network series Jack & Jill. Further, she was widely acclaimed for her performance in the 2000 comedy film The Whole Nine Yards.

Amanda also appeared in films like She`s the One (1996), Saving Silverman (2001), Something`s Gotta Give (2003), Identity (2003), Syriana (2005), The Ex (2007) and 2012 (2009). She also co-starred in the film Trust Me (2013), which debuted at the Tribeca Film Festival (2013). Her 2016 project includes the romantic comedy movie Sleeping with Other People.
