Getting a degree in animation from the ANTS training school, Amar Gowda is an Indian filmmaker, who works in the Kannada film industry. He made his directorial debut with the critically acclaimed short film, Samaja. At the Janashree News channel awards the main protagonist in the movie won the Best Lead Actor award. In 2018 Amar directed Sanchari Vijay, Vinay, Surya, Chandu B. Gowda, Shobitha Shivanna, and Hemalatha in the psychological drama, Attempt to Murder. The movie marks Amar`s debut as a director on the big screen.
