Entering the film industry in 2008 with the laugh-riot, Chakk De Phatte, Amberdeep Singh is an Indian writer, producer, actor, and director, who works in the Punjabi film industry. Chakk De Phatte marked Amberdeep`s debut as a writer. The cast included established actors like Mahie Gill, Jaspal Bhatti, and Gurpreet Ghuggi. Since then Amberdeep has penned hit movies like Jatt & Juliet 2 (2013), Viyah 70 Km (2013), Goreyan Nu Daffa Karo (2014), Angrej (2015), Love Punjab (2016), and Sarvann (2017). The 2017 Punjabi movie, Lahoriye, marked Amberdeep`s directorial debut. Apart from writing and directing the movie, he also made his acting debut with the drama.

In 2018 Amberdeep wrote and directed the comedy-drama, Laung Laachi. The movie also marks his debut as a lead actor. Neeru Bajwa plays the female lead opposite him. The cast also includes Ammy Virk, Veet Baljit, and Amrit Maan in prominent roles. His next releases include Ashke, Bhajjo Veero Ve. and Laiye Je Yaarian.
