One of the most popular faces in Gujarati theatre and television, Ami Trivedi is perhaps best known for essaying the titular role in the Sahara One comedy-drama series Kituu Sab Janti Hai (2005-06). She started out as a child artist, and got her first big break courtesy of the soap opera Babul Ki Duwayen Leti Jaa. Since her breakout role in Kituu Sab Janti Hai, Ami has appeared in a number of much-beloved TV shows, notable among which are Papad Pol: Shahabuddin Rathod Ki Rangeen Duniya (2010-11), which earned her an Indian Telly Award nomination for Best Actress in a Comic Role; the courtroom drama Adaalat (2010-16) and the sitcom Tedi Medi Family (2015-)

Among Ami's significant acting credits in Gujarati theatre are the plays Shodh-Pratishodh, Aankh Micholi, Mahapurush and Gujjubhai E Gaam Gajavyu. In 2018, she appeared in the Gujarati film Back Bencher, which dealt with the struggles faced by students in coping with the rigours of modern educational system.
