Amina Nijam first made her mark as a budding new actor through the acting reality show "Nayika Nayakan" (2018) organised by eminent director Lal Jose on Mazhavil Manorama channel. Her performances in the show were widely noted and it led to her feature film debut where she appeared in a pivotal cameo role in the 2020 blockbuster crime thriller movie - "Anjaam Pathiraa" directed by Midhun Manuel Thomas. She had also featured in the Jio Studios production- "Aaraam Thirukalpana" starring Nithya Menon and Shine Tom Chacko in lead roles, which is expected to release soon. Her other feature films awaiting theatre release include: "Turkish Tharkkam" where she plays the lead heroine opposite actor Lukman Avaran. Amina is also the lead heroine in the movie "Pattapakal". She is currently working on the Mammooty starrer "Turbo" directed by Vyshakh under Mammooty Company productions.

Apart from feature films, Amina has also delivered noteworthy performances in many popular web series`, short films and music videos as well. The web series "Love Out for Delivery" (2022) produced by Behindwoods won her widespread appreciation for portraying the tomboyish and vibrant lead character Aishu. The title character she did in the 2023 web series "Feny" (Mainstreamtv production) also appealed to a wide audience. Amina also appeared in the mini-series "Sebastiante Velliyazhcha" (2022)by the hugely popular `Karikku` team. Thereafter she was seen in the webseries "Life Jor Season 2" (2023) by Manorama Max Productions. In 2022, she starred in the short film titled "The Chef" by Midhun Manual Thomas` production venture Nerambokku which depicted two strangers meeting in an elevator leading to a startling revelation. She went on to do the title character of a bold and pleasant girl in the short film "Bakku"(2023) which captures the essence of love and the struggles to express it. Her independent music video appearances as lead female include the songs "Vellikkolusin" (2021) and the more recent "Njanaa" (2024).
