Amiya Chakraborty (Deceased) is an Indian film director, producer and writer born on November 30, 1912, in Bogra, East Bengal (India). She made debut in Hindi films as a story writer for the film Bandhan (1940) and directorial debut with Anjaan (1941). Some of the films she has directed are Daag (1952), Badal (1951) and Seema (1955) with many others. She also won Filmfare Award (1956) For Movie Seema.
