Best known for playing the role of Aliya Bose, a hockey player in the critically acclaimed sports film, Chak De! India, Anaitha Nair is an Indian film actress, singer and theatre personality. Born in Bengaluru, Anaitha is of Malayali and Parsi descent. After completing her education, she moved to Mumbai to pursue a career in acting and she made her debut on the silver screen with a special appearance in the Malayalam film, By the People (2005).

She rose to fame with her role in Chak De! India and after the film`s success, she got many offers. Her other notable film credits include IG (2009), Aashayein (2010), Dum Maaro Dum (2011), Force (2011), and Project Papa (2018), an English drama directed by Kanika Batra. Her other 2018 release includes Fanney Khan, starring Anil Kapoor, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan and Rajkummar Rao.
