The son of veteran actor Nagesh, who is well known for his dancing skills, Anand Babu is a Tamil actor who started his stellar career in the year 1983 with the film Thangaikkor Geetham. He starred in several leading roles in films from the year 1983 to 1999, which include Vetrikani (1985), Mounam Kalaikirathu (1986), Puriyaadha Pudhir (1990), Cheran Pandiyan (1991), among a plethora of other films. He transitioned to supporting roles from 2009 to 2014 and has also been associated with a number of television serials making his debut with the 2000 television show Soolam. His other projects include Mr. Local starring Sivakarthikeyan, Nayanthara, Radhika Sarathkumar and Pallu Padama Paathuka.
