Andy Muschietti is an Argentine filmmaker, best known for directing the It film series. He made his directorial debut with the supernatural horror film Mama (2013). In 2015, New Line Cinema hired Muscheitti for the direction of It, the two-part adaptation of Stephen King`s 1986 novel of the same name. Muschietti is also an Executive producer of a TV series titled Locke and Key for Netflix.
