Andrew Davies is a British screenplay writer and novelist best known for his works in Marmalade Atkinsand A Very Peculiar Practice. In 1960 he wrote scripts for BBC Home Service`s Monday Night at Home and finally in 1964 he started his career as a writer for BBC Radio. His other film credits include Northanger Abbey (2014), The Three Musketeers (2011), Brideshead Revisited (2008) and The Tailor of Panama (2001). He won the Primetime Emmy Award for Outstanding Writing for a Miniseries, Movie or a Dramatic Special of Little Dorrit (2008).
