Andrew L. Stone was an American screenwriter, director, and producer. He was famously known for his realistic films and named as Virginia L. Stone. He was nominated for an Academy Award for Best Original Screenplay for the 1956 film Julie. He has written, directed and produced several films such as The Decks Ran Red, The Last Voyage and Ring of Fire. He died on June 9, 1999 in Los Angeles, California.
