A Scottish film producer, Andrew Macdonald is best known for his collaboration with screenwriter John Hodge and the acclaimed director Danny Boyle. Having made his production debut with Shallow Grave in 1994, over the years he has produced more than 20 films, most of which are super hit.
One of the co-founders of the production banner, DNA Films, Macdonald along with his business partner Duncan Kenworthy produced several movies under the banner including The Parole Officer (2001), 28 Days Later (2002), Sunshine (2007), 28 Weeks Later (2007) and his 2018 production venture includes Annihilation, an adventure drama directed by Alex Garland.
