A British author, cartoonist and screenwriter for film and TV, Andy Riley is well known for films such as Veep (2012), Gnomeo & Juliet (2011) and Slacker Cats (2007).
Riley has written numerous best-selling cartoon books such as Riley has written and drawn many best-selling cartoon books: The Book of Bunny Suicides, Return of the Bunny Suicides, The Bumper Book of Bunny Suicides, Dawn of the Bunny Suicides, Great Lies To Tell Small Kids, Loads More Lies to Tell Small Kids(2006), DIY Dentistry, Selfish Pigs, Wine Makes Mummy Clever and Beer Makes Daddy Strong.
He is an author of the Children`s book series King Flashhypants - King Flashypants and the Evil Emperor, King Flashypants and the Creature from Crong, and King Flashypants and the Toys of Terror.
He has also written for a weekly comic strip called Roasted in The Observer Magazine, which has been published as a book as well.
He, alongside his school friend Kevin Cecil, has written for TV series such as Hyperdrive, Slacker Cats, and Veep, which won him an Emmy award and Black Boots, which won him a BAFTA award. His other TV shows credits include Trigger Happy TV, So Graham Norton, Smack the Pony, The Armando Iannucci Shows, Harry and Paul, Big Bad World, Come Fly With Me, and Spitting Image and TV adaptations of David Williams books such as Gangsta Granny and The Boy In The Dress. He has also created and written for The 99p Challenge, a Radio Four panel game.
He has co-written various animated feature Gnomeo and Juliet and its sequel Gnomeo and Juliet: Sherlock Gnomes.
