Anil Rastogi is an Indian theatre, television, and film actor known for his roles in Udaan, Ishaqzaade, and Na Bole Tum Naa Maine Kuch Kaha. Born in Lucknow, he worked as a scientist at the Central Drug Research Institute (CDRI) before turning to acting, and has performed in over 1,000 theatre shows across roughly 98 plays, collaborating with celebrated directors including Ravi Baswani, Raj Bisaria, B.V. Karanth, and Ranjit Kapoor. He was awarded the Padma Shri in 2026 and received the Kavishala Lifetime Achievement Award in 2025. He most recently played Mahant Ji in the spiritual drama Hanuman Ansh (2026), directed by Vishal Chaturvedi.
