Actor, filmmaker and executive producer Anish Kuruvilla made his feature film debut with a lead role in the bilingual drama Dollar Dreams (2000), which was directed by Sekhar Kammula. Following this, Anish served as an executive producer on Kammula`s Anand (2004) and Godavari (2006), subsequently making his directorial debut with the well-received romantic drama Avakai Biryani (2008).

In 2012, he made his sophomore directorial outing with the film Ko Antey Koti, which starred Sharwanand and Priya Anand in the lead roles. After a decade-long hiatus, Anish returned to acting with a supporting role in the blockbuster romantic comedy Pelli Choopulu (2016), and has since appeared in the Bollywood biographical sports film M. S. Dhoni - The Untold Story (2016), the Nani starrer Nenu Local (2017) and the Tamil action thriller Velaikkaran (2017).

More recently, the actor was seen in the Mahesh Babu starrer Bharat Ane Nenu (2018), the spy thriller Goodachari (2018), Maharshi (2019), Game Over (2019), Gang Leader (2019) and Operation Gold Fish (2019).
