Anish Shah is a Gujarati filmmaker, writer, and producer known for bringing fresh, genre-diverse storytelling to Gujarati cinema. He co-founded November Films alongside Kuldip Patel and Jay Shah, a production banner the trio built by investing their own money, keeping them deeply conscious of the value placed in every film they make.

His breakthrough came when he co-wrote the Gujarati blockbuster Kevi Rite Jaish, a film that opened new doors for his career and led to work with advertising agencies in Ahmedabad. The experience sharpened his instinct for storytelling that connects with mainstream Gujarati audiences without sacrificing craft.

His debut as writer, director, and producer came with Dhunki (2019), starring Pratik Gandhi and Deeksha Joshi. The film was self-funded by the November Films team and went on to earn the Best Dialogues award at GIFA, Best Actor recognition for Pratik Gandhi at the 3rd New Jersey Indian International Film Festival (2020), and the Best Gujarati Film award at the India Film Festival of Alberta.

He followed this with Chaskela (2021), a web series that streamed on OHO Gujarati, marking his entry into the digital content space. His next directorial, Udan Chhoo (2024), a family drama produced under Indira Motion Pictures and November Films, earned strong audience appreciation for its warmth and emotional storytelling.

With Dharpakad (2026), Anish Shah takes his boldest creative step yet. Directing, writing, and producing Gujarat's first film on digital arrest scams, he helms a crime thriller rooted in the realities of technology-driven fraud in urban India. The film stars Mallhar Thakar, Prashant Barot, Shruhad Goswami, Pratik Rathod, and Jay Bhatt and releases theatrically on May 15, 2026.
