A familiar face in Marathi television and cinema, Anita Date is best known for her roles in movies like Ajoba (2014), A Paying Ghost (2015) and Coffee Ani Barach Kahi (2015). She has also appeared in a number of popular tv shows, among which are Eka Lagnachi Dusri Goshta (2012) and Mazhya Navryachi Bayko (2016-).

Besides her work in Marathi language, Anita has ventured into Bollywood through movies like Zor Lagaa Ke...Haiya! (2009) and Aiyyaa (2012), the latter of which featured her in the well-received role of an eccentric woman named Maina aka Gaga Bai. In 2018, the actess appeared in the historical period horror movie Tumbbad, which was directed by Rahi Anil Barve.
