One of the prominent figures in Indian transgender community, Anjali Ameer came into limelight, when she was a wild card entry in the house of the Bigg Boss (Malayalam) in the year 2018. Post her appearance on the reality show, the model bagged quite a few brand endorsements and featured in many fashion magazines. Later, it was Mammootty, who spotted the model and offered her a role in films. The model turned actress in the 2019 Tamil film Peranbu, where she portrays the role of Meera, alongside superstar Mammootty. Her other acting credits include Suvarna Purushan (2018).
