Anjali Jay is an actress, writer, and dancer who grew up in Bangalore, India and moved to the UK for her MA course. A performer since the age of 7, Jay is trained in Bharatanatyam and contemporary forms of dance. She has extensive theatre experience as well, having played the roles of Jamila in Salman Rushdie`s Midnight`s Children, and Juliet in Romeo and Juliet. She made her film debut in 2006 in Blind Dating where she shared the screen with Chris Pine. Following that she was praised for her role in the BBC`s TV series Robin Hood (2006-2007).
